Frequently Asked Questions - Can I Use a Wood Burning Stove in a Smoke Control Area?
Yes you can. Of course there are environmental controls, many areas are designated smoke control areas where it's an offence to emit smoke, however DEFRA, the Department for Environment and Rural Affairs specifies exempt wood burning stoves that have passed tests to showing they can burn unauthorised solid fuel without emitting smoke. These are exactly the kind of wood burning stoves we recommend.
Frequently Asked Questions - How Much Does It Cost to Install a Wood Burning Stove?
Probably less than you might expect, read full details on wood burning stove installation issues including government grants for installation, why we don't recommend diy installation, the insulated flue, building regulations and HETAS safety standards.
